Vision

To establish Maharashtra as India’s premier aquatic sports hub by 2030. We envision every district having world-class aquatic facilities, producing Olympic medalists, hosting international championships regularly, and creating a sustainable ecosystem for aquatic sports development. Our vision includes establishing 50 new swimming academies, training 500 certified coaches, and ensuring every child in Maharashtra has access to swimming education.

Association Founded

1975

Maharashtra Aquatic Association established to promote swimming and aquatic sports across the state

First State Championship

1985

Organized the inaugural Maharashtra State Swimming Championship with 200+ participants

 

National Recognition

1975

Became affiliated with Swimming Federation of India, gaining national championship hosting rights

Infrastructure Development

2005

Launched statewide facility development program, establishing 25 new swimming pools

 

International Success

2015

Maharashtra swimmers won 15 medals at National Games, 3 athletes qualified for Asian Championships

Digital Transformation

Facilities & Infrastructure

State-of-the-art aquatic complex in Mumbai with Olympic-size pool, diving facility with 1m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m, and 10m platforms, modern gym and fitness center, sports medicine facility, athlete accommodation, and conference halls. Regional centers in Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik feature 50m pools, training facilities, and coaching infrastructure. All facilities meet international standards and are equipped with latest timing systems.
